As well as what I have said in the page above on Catholicism, I should also make the following comment on Jesuits.
The Jesuits believe that there is an almost straight scale between the absolute good of God and the absolute evil of Satan. Clearly this site disputes that in that the straight scale that exists is really between the extremes of Buddha and Darwin, absolute compassion and absolute survival instinct.
Buddha may not have existed without the instincts of his ancestors, Darwin may not have existed without compassion in the hearts of his fellow humans.
Satan should be considered as the wasp that injects its eggs into other creatures to develop. It is great pain to the victim but survival to the wasp. Perhaps the ancestors of the victim of the wasp committed similar ‘crimes’ against other creatures.
